Meet our girls: Buttercup and Fiona
Adopted as a pet and fun addition to our farm family, Buttercup (brown colored) gave birth to Princess Fiona a few months later and their story as members of our family began. The girls made friends with our goats and chickens, but preferred to be in each others company over the rest of their barnyard friends. Fiona grew up with small children, so naturally, she and her mom developed a strong love for them and people in general.
Unique personalities
The donkeys are always the farm favorites when friends come to visit. Their small size and sweet demeanor make them loveable all around. Our commitment to long eared girls is strong.
Buttercup is very much the “mom” figure. More responsible in nature, she’s mellow, and goes with the flow. She rarely gives us any attitude and is reserved and quiet, only braying when there’s an emergency - like when Fiona is too far away from her. She has another daughter named Stormy who stays pretty close as well.
Fiona was born with sassy pants on. She is a princess after all. If she doesn’t like what’s being asked of her, she turns up her nose and prances off. When interacting with her, her face says it all, and you’ll know for sure if she needs more behind the ear scratches than you are giving.
